How to Find the Best Home Water Filtration systems right here in Ingram
Ok, let’s get this out of the way
Yes I’m a bit of a water buff, I remember weird facts about water.
- Water is very simple, its only composed of two elements Hydrogen and Oxygen
- The human body needs about 8 glasses of water to stay properly hydrated.
- Water isn’t like most things that we consume, you just can’t go without it.
I mean yeah you could but you’d only make it about 3-7 days without water.
Can you believe that 75% of the human brain is water and that 7% of a living tree is composed of water?
Ok you can’t say that I didn’t warn you that I knew a little bit about Ingram water.
If you found this website then congratulations on wanting to learn more about water and the type of water that you’re currently drinking.
I’m Drinking That???!
Ok so you know that your body is made up of 75% water. Now let’s talk about what you’re currently drinking.
Here’s your homework assignment.
Every city has a local water quality report, yes even Ingram! Go pull up the local water report for Ingram. I’m posting a sample water report from a random city to show you what it looks like.
I want you to write down at least 7 of the Contaminants found in the local Ingram water system.
If you want to know more about the Contaminants in Ingram water please feel free to Google them, I could go on and on about each one but we will keep this short and simple.
Toxic – Harmful if swallowed or inhaled. Do not get in eyes or on skin. Do not ingest, inhale. Wear proper respirator.

Lead is a highly toxic metal and a very strong poison. Lead poisoning is a serious and sometimes fatal condition. It occurs when lead builds up in the body.
Since a child’s brain is still developing, lead can lead to intellectual disability.
But Wait there’s more!
Did you know there are things that are living in the local water system?
Cryptosporidium is a tiny intestinal parasite found nat-
urally in the environment. It is spread by human and
animal waste. If ingested, cryptosporidium may cause
cryptosporidiosis, an intestinal infection (symptoms
include nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps). Some
of the ways cryptosporidium can be spread include
drinking contaminated water, eating contaminated
food that is raw or undercooked, exposure to the feces
of animals or infected individuals (i.e. changing diapers
without washing hands afterward), or exposure to
contaminated surfaces. Not everyone exposed to the organism becomes ill.
Ok, so you get the idea!
Most local water systems is barely a degree above being undrinkable and even the drinkable water has all these horrible chemicals in it!
Children under the age of 5 and pregnant women do not need to consume tap water due to the numerous toxic chemicals in the water.
What Do I Do Now?
If you get absolutely nothing from my ranting and raving remember this, no one will care about your health as much as you do! Always pay attention to exactly what you’re putting in your body. I know you’re probably freaking out now, relax I was too! I learned that there are several options to clean the toxic water that you’re drinking. Now that you know the truth about Ingram drinking water, lets work on finding some alternative ways to get clean drinking water. I will go over both home and commercial water filtration systems.
I’m sure you’re thinking ok I’ll just drink bottled water…
In many cases bottled water is not any better than regular tap water yeah like the kind you’re trying to avoid!
- The chemicals from the plastics leech into the bottled water.
- Bottled water is wasteful and fills up our landfills
- Bottled water tends to cost more than other water options
Most water pitcher systems use activated charcoal to filter the water. Now this option is more cost efficient than water however they require constant filling and some models take a few minutes to filter the pitcher. Water pitchers improve the taste of the water and reduces chlorine but they don’t filter out the toxic chemicals, fluoride or heavy metals in the water.
Multi-Stage Water Filtration Systems
Ok, if you’re in a home then this is the best system available to filter out the toxic materials in your water.
Most of the toxic materials previously mentioned are filtered out via this system.
Incase you forgot that’s Flouride, Cynaide, Aresenic, Nitrates, and chlorine to name a few.
Pharmaceutical chemicals and misc. water parasites
Carbon filtered system with a form of reverse osmosis
Hard water etching of glass surfaces is reduced.
Other things that I’ve noticed are less mineral buildup in my water heater and my cleaning products tend to last longer due to the softness of the water.
Helps with skin conditions and kidney stones.
Self cleans and automatically test the water for hardness, chlorine, dissolved solids and water usage.
